Compact Secondary Substations
A Compact Secondary Substation (CSS) is a ready-to-install product and saves on sapce, time and cost, comprising an enclosure containing medium voltage (MV) switchgear, distribution transformers, low voltage (LV) switchboards, connections and auxiliary equipment to supply LV energy from MV systems.
Compact substations are also known as Pre-fabricated substations, Package Substations (PSS) or Unitized substations (USS).
